Several of my friends have been encouraging me to start a blog and somehow I just haven't been able to get myself to start it. It's partially because I over-edit any attempts at writing anything and partially because I'm notoriously bad at keeping up with e-mail. However, it's the latter that finally convinced me to go for it. I want to keep in touch with our farflung friends and family and this is a quick and easy way to share our lives with them.
We have two wonderful daughters. Mia Daniella, who just turned 3, December 1, 2008 and is the funniest kid we know. One of these days I'll blog Mia-isms and you'll understand, if you don't already. Mia has more personality than we know what to do with most days. She can make us laugh like no one we've ever met before and she is most assuredly smarter than we are! There will always
be fun Mia pictures and stories to share.
Then there's Alexa Aileen. She is the newest light in our lives! She is currently a month old and already has turned our household on its side. She's at the constant change phase where every day she's a different baby and discovering something new. Just this week she began smiling and she shared her very first smile with her favorite person, big sister Mia. What a pair! There will be lots to share about Alexa and her growth in the next year.
Then there's Aaron and I, we aren't as cute but we do try to keep our lives interesting. We've been together eight years, married 6 1/2. In that time, we've lived in Florida, Italy, and California. We are currently living in the High Desert in California. Barstow is far from glamorous but we try to travel and make the most of it. If we are doing anything nearly as exciting as the girls we'll be sure to share it. If not, well then, there's always the dogs...
So I promise not to let my self-editing stop me from posting and I just ask for your patience as I figure this blogging thing out. Here we go.....
